Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport & Overnight in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by a professional representative of African Treasure – Wilderness Ambassadors and transferred to their hotel in Arusha town, approximately 50 kilometers away with a driving time of about 1 hour. Arusha is the safari capital of northern Tanzania and serves as the gateway to the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

After check in, guests have time to relax, recover from their international flight, and enjoy the serene surroundings of their lodge. A detailed safari briefing is provided, preparing guests for the adventure ahead.

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, the safari journey begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, covering approximately 120 kilometers with a travel time of around 2 to 3 hours. Tarangire is famous for its vast savannah landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and large concentrations of elephants, especially during the dry season.

Upon arrival, guests enjoy an extensive game drive through the park, following the Tarangire River which acts as a lifeline for wildlife.
