Day To Day

Day 1

Arrival in Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by a professional safari representative and transferred to their hotel in Nairobi City, approximately 15 to 20 kilometers from the airport with a driving time of about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Nairobi serves as Kenya’s vibrant gateway and offers a gentle introduction to East Africa. After check in, guests have time to relax and recover from international travel while enjoying the comfort of their accommodation.

Depending on arrival time, optional city experiences can be arranged. Dinner is served at the hotel, and the overnight stay allows guests to prepare for the exciting safari journey ahead.

Day 2

Nairobi to Ol’ Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, the safari begins with a scenic drive north toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy, covering approximately 210 kilometers with an estimated driving time of 4 to 5 hours. The route passes through fertile highlands and equatorial landscapes, offering stunning views of Mount Kenya along the way. Ol Pejeta is one of Kenya’s most important conservation areas, renowned for its successful rhino protection program and diverse wildlife.

Upon arrival, guests enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five, as well as the last remaining northern white rhinos. The conservancy combines wildlife protection with community empowerment, offering a meaningful safari experience.

Day 3

Ol’ Pejeta to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, guests depart for Samburu National Reserve, traveling approximately 180 kilometers in 4 to 5 hours. Day 4

Full Day Exploring Samburu

This full day is dedicated to exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning offers excellent predator sightings, while midday allows time to relax at the lodge. Afternoon drives focus on riverbanks where elephants, crocodiles, and big cats are commonly seen.

Samburu to Solio Game Reserve

After breakfast, guests travel south to Solio Game Reserve, a distance of approximately 160 kilometers taking about 4 hours. Solio is a private conservancy known for having one of the highest concentrations of black and white rhinos in East Africa.
